I'm a native of Jacksonville and have lived in the same zip code for most of my life! I'm married to Andrew and we have 2 children, Drew and Anna. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida. I teach 3 day PreK-3 now and I have wonderful memories as a parent while my children attended Southside. I am blessed to share in the excitement and joy that comes with seeing life through the eyes of a preschooler.
I am married to Ken and we have two beautiful daughters. I live in San Marco and attend church here at Southside. I love working with children and am very excited to be at SUM Preschool.

I have been at Southside Methodist Preschool for several years; most recently teaching Computers, assisting in PreK 4s, teaching 2 year olds, and now teaching 3 year olds.
I am married to David Feltman and we have two daughters, Anita and Brooke. When I am not teaching, I love going to the beach, looking for shark's teeth, and spending time with family and friends.
Teaching is a blessing and I love every day that I get to work with children.
This will be my 21st year at Southside Methodist Preschool and I truly enjoy it! Both of my daughters attended here, so I have been a long standing fan. My undergraduate degree is in Social Work. After our first child was born, I completed course work toward a Master's degree in Education while I worked as a tutor and a substitute teacher here in Jacksonville. My husband and I have been married for over 30 years and are active members in our church.
I have an AA Degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida State College at Jacksonville and am currently working on getting my credentials in Early Childhood Education. I have worked at Southside Methodist Preschool as an Assistant Teacher and as a Lead Teacher for 14 years. My husband, Dan and I have two sons and a daughter. I love swimming, going to the beach and spending time with my family. We are Florida Gator football family and love going to the Gator games together!
Bright Beginnings Teacher & Parent Volunteer Coordinator
I am thrilled to be teaching your little ones about Jesus and how much He LOVES us! I have been teaching at our preschool for over 13 years - and I have loved every minute of my time here.
I graduated from FSU with a BS in Media Production and a Minor in Journalism. My husband, Pat, and I have seven children together and four grandchildren (they call me Cookie). I am so grateful and beyond blessed to have taught one of my sons and now teach my grandchildren.
In addition to teaching Bright Beginnings - a Christian education resource. I also get to help with Parent Volunteers. I made some of my very best friends working alongside other moms/dads while my children were at Southside. I encourage all of you to get involved and volunteer! There is something unique about working together for a common cause that brings people close.
I also help out with the Preschool Newsletters, Email blast, the Fundraising Dinner, “Back to School” Coffee, Book Fair, and Room Parents. I love this Preschool!
I graduated from Baker County High School and am married to Richard. We have two girls who are in college. I have worked at SUM Preschool for quite sometime now and have enjoyed being both the P.E. assistant as well as the Computer assistant.
Both of our girls attended Southside Methodist Preschool so we have fond memories of them being students at this sweet preschool.
Computers & P.E. Teacher
I graduated from the University of Florida in 1989 with a BS degree in recreation. I have worked at the preschool for over 15 years. I am a resource teacher and teach PE on Mondays & Tuesdays with and Computers on Wednesday & Thursdays. I am married and have two children who both attended SUMP. My daughter, Morgan, graduated from FSU and my son, Chase is in college at East Tennessee State University. I am a member of Southside Baptist Church.
In our PE classes, we work on gross motor skills, hand and eye coordination, listening skills, team work and other age appropriate skills. We usually start the day with stretches, a little running and then our lesson for the day.
In our computer classes, we learn the parts of a computer and master the skills of clicking a mouse and moving the cursor across the computer screen. We are also learning to take turns and follow directions from the games that we play.
PreK3 Assistant & Preschool Receptionist
This will be my 10th year as a member of the SUM Preschool staff. I was an assistant in the three year old class prior to joining Miss Marti's VPK class a few years ago. I've enjoyed my time working with Miss Marti and look forward to getting to know Miss Casey.
I graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I have been a resident of Jacksonville for 29 years. I am married to John and we have three children; two sons, Charlie and John Patrick (J.P.) and a daughter, Jordan.
I love crossword puzzles, cooking, taking walks with my children and having silly playtime with them. Children enrich my life each day - both at home and at preschool. It is such a joy and an honor to be a part of such a wonderful school family.
